Downtown Cobourg welcomed a new pub to its growing list of businesses.
The Claymore Pub and Table was one of 4 businesses that held their grand opening on June 14.
The Claymore is an English style pub that owner Brian McLeod said will be host to events such as live music and World Cup screenings.
They opened on March 7, and McLeod said they’re still working through some of the early kinks of owning a business.
McLeod said everyone is welcome at the Claymore.
Having working in an industrial setting, the pub is a welcome shift for McLeod.
McLeod said he’s had the idea to open a pub since he was a teenager, and now he’s happy to see it come to fruition.
The Claymore Pub and Table is located at 95 King St West in Downtown Cobourg.
