Parks Canada warns everyone to take care due to high water levels.
The upper portions of the Trent River Watershed have received a lot of extra precipitation over the last week and Parks Canada is working to manage the extra runoff.
Boaters should expect higher than normal water levels and flows during navigation hours and increased overnight flows that should be considered Non-navigable.
Fast moving water can create hazardous conditions and residents and visitors should be cautious on or around the water.
Parents and caregivers are advised to keep children and pets away from all waterways.
This watershed safety statement will be in effect until June 24th.
