A new rollerskating group is inviting you along to take part in the fun.
Nikki Tomasi, Amelia Bray, and Nicole Beatty laced up their skates during the pandemic to pass the time, and decided to create the Northumberland Rollerskating Collective, or NoCo RoCo for short.
They rented out the arena in Baltimore when there was no ice during COVID, but Tomasi said they realized the rink was too big for just the three of them.
Tomasi said rollerskating has become more popular since the pandemic.
NoCo RoCo meets every Wednesday evening from 5:50 pm to 6:50 pm at the Baltimore Recreation Centre. Drop-in fees for roller and inline skating are $10 for adults, $5 for children
and youth aged 5 to 17, and $20 for families—kids under the age of 4 skates for free.
Reservations are not needed, and people can show up anytime after 5:30 pm to register.
Limited skate rentals are available for $5, which can be reserved ahead of time.
