Step 3 of reopening means the Town of Cobourg is offering additional indoor services and expanding capacity for outdoor activities.
While the Cobourg Community Centre building remains closed to the public , ice rentals are now being booked.
Also, Victoria Park Picnic Pavilion bookings began today.
Below is a detailed breakdown of Stage 3 offerings and protocols in the Municipality of Cobourg:
-Outdoor social gatherings and organized public events with up to 100 people with limited exceptions;
-Indoor social gatherings and organized public events with up to 25 people;
-Indoor religious services, rites or ceremonies, including wedding services and funeral services permitted with physical distancing;
-Indoor dining permitted with no limits on the number of patrons per table with physical distancing and other restrictions still in effect;
-Indoor sports and recreational fitness facilities to open subject to a maximum 50 per cent capacity of the indoor space. Capacity for indoor spectators is 50 per cent of the usual seating capacity or 1,000 people, whichever is less. Capacity for outdoor spectators is 75 per cent of the usual seating capacity or 15,000 people, whichever is less;
-Indoor meeting and event spaces permitted to operate with physical distancing and other restrictions still in effect and capacity limited to not exceed 50 per cent capacity or 1,000 people, (whichever is less);
-Essential and non-essential retail with capacity limited to the number of people that can maintain a physical distance of two metres;

The Victoria Hall lobby will continue to be open to the public Monday to Friday from 10-3 p.m. and will serve as the front desk/reception providing walk-in service (no appointment necessary). Please enter through the main doors and speak to the lobby attendant who will phone the department you require service through.
Parks, Recreation, & Facilities
-The Cobourg Community Centre building will remain closed to the public until further notice, however the following services will be available under provincial regulations:
-Ice Rentals: Now available.
-Walking Track: Will re-open to the public as of August 6, 2021.
-Seniors Programming: Will not be available due to the mass vaccination clinics currently utilizing the gym and adjacent rooms.
-Summer Day Camp Programs (running from July 12th until September 3rd)
-Victoria Park Picnic Pavilion: Open for bookings as of July 19, 2021.
