Provincial health officials have stated that we have had 2,170 new COVID-19 confirmed cases today in Ontario. Here in Northumberland county the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge Health Unit has announced that a single confirmed case of Covid-19 was identified. This comes today as Canada is expecting to receive nine million doses of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine in June.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has stated that he hopes that Ontario will see a loosening of the restrictions or the stay at home order.
To compliment this positive message, on Sunday the Ontario government offered a glimpse of what is to come when thousands of families with children heard the announcement that overnight summer camps would be allowed to open this summer by Ontario Premiere Doug Ford.
