The Northumberland Eats food voucher pilot program is now a permanent program in Northumberland County. Social Services Relief Funding helped to cover the costs of the program, organized by the local United Way.
More than 1,000 people have received support through the program with 19 participating businesses in six local communities and over $35,000 invested locally.
Starting this month, new vouchers will be distributed by: police services, libraries, mental health services, children’s aid, shelters and more. You can learn more about the Northumberland Eats program here.
