Trent Hills residents and visitors to the region are being urged by Ontario Power Generation to play it safe near hydro projects and dams. Whether you’re boating, swimming or fishing, flow conditions can change quickly, sometimes without warning.
OPG and the Trent-Severn Waterway have issued warnings and erected signs and barriers to restrict access to areas of the Trent River where it is not safe for recreation. This includes around Ranney Falls Generating Station in Campbellford.
Despite continued warnings, some people have been entering the area, exposing themselves to extreme danger.
