The Cobourg Community Centre will begin gradually re-opening Monday (Aug 31).
The Town of Cobourg announced Tuesday morning (Aug 25) that there will be a maximum capacity of 100 people from the 31 to September 13 with 50 participants in the Bowl Arena and 50 participants in the gym.
From September 14 to the 30, there will be a 200 person capacity with 50 people in the Bowl Arena, gym, Pond Arena and rental rooms.
October 1 will mark the start of the third and final phase, where there’s a maximum capacity of 300 people in the CCC.
There will be 50 people allowed in the Bowl Arena, gym, Pond Arena and rental rooms as well as 50 spectators at each of the arenas and food and drinks will be served at the Cobourg Community Centre once again.
The CCC has been temporarily closed for five months due to COVID-19, and in collaboration with government and local health officials, extra health and safety precautions will be in place for re-opening.
There will be hand sanitizer stations, spaces to allow physical distancing, plexiglass barriers and enhanced cleaning of high-touch surface areas.
To be able to enter the community centre, you must pre-register, complete a self-screening at the check-in desk, sanitize upon entry, wear a mask or face covering when entering the building and be prepared for possible lineups.
