The Walton Street Bridge in Port Hope will remain restricted to eastbound, single-lane traffic until the end of November as crews carry out permanent repairs to a water main beneath the bridge and river. The work stems from a water main break in December 2025.
The bridge’s north sidewalk will also be closed, although pedestrians can continue using the south side.
Anglers are being directed to access the river through Brogdens Lane, while transit buses will bypass the area, suspending stops A1 and B1 during construction.
