The Art Centrique Holiday Market is the first for a group of artist friends wanting to bring whimsy, joy and inspiration to Northumberland.
Now they are bringing their local talents to Grafton November 5th and 6th for their first Holiday Market.
Melanie Horner with Art Centrique says it’s a group of 8 artisan friends.
The group includes printmakers, painters, fibre artists, mosaic artists, willow weavers and ceramicists.
Horner creates ceramic pieces and incorporates different textures and underglazing.
Horner says two of the artists Ev Haskell and Anja Hertle work in upcycling.
Sonja Brown and Jenny Duda work with paint and other mediums.
Christine Benson carves detailed nature inspired linocuts and prints them on delicate Japanese paper and fabric
Sian Pritchard is a willow weaver.
She grows her own willows and incorporates them into baskets and sculptures.
Horner says all 8 of the artists will be at the show Friday and Saturday.
The Art Centrique Holiday Market runs Friday November 6th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday November 7th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 135 Old Danforth Road in Grafton.
