A 34-year-old Roseneath man is facing multiple charges following a Cobourg police investigation into alleged child exploitation offences.
The Cobourg Police Service says its Criminal Investigation Bureau began investigating in August after receiving a report involving alleged online child luring and child sexual abuse material.
Cody Holtz was arrested Oct. 26 and charged with three counts each of child luring and invitation to sexual touching, along with charges of making sexually explicit material available to a child and possessing child sexual abuse material.
Holtz was held in custody pending a show cause hearing.
Police say suspected online child exploitation can be reported to Cybertip.ca, Canada’s national tipline for such offences.
