Cindy is running for municipal council with a focus on practical solutions, responsible leadership and ensuring residents have a stronger voice in local government. She says her approach is centred on listening to residents, acting on their concerns and delivering results while maintaining fiscal responsibility and protecting the character of the community.
Priorities and Experience
Cindy says she wants to promote transparent leadership and smart growth while ensuring the community remains a place where residents feel heard and valued. She identifies fiscal responsibility as a key priority, with an emphasis on ensuring tax dollars are spent wisely and municipal services provide value for residents.
She also wants to improve local services, support small businesses and address community safety and environmental protection. Cindy says she believes future development should respect the community’s existing character while creating opportunities for residents.
Her transferable skills and experience include time management, advocacy, communications, banking, social enterprise and building community connections. She says these skills would help her work collaboratively with residents and council while addressing local priorities.
Why the Community
Cindy describes the community as home and says decisions made today will shape the community future generations inherit. She wants to help create a community where residents feel included, businesses can succeed and local character is respected.
Her campaign message centres on three principles: listen, act and deliver.
