The Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation hosted about 60 donors Sept. 23 for a behind-the-scenes tour highlighting several recent hospital projects supported by community donations.
The tour included the new SPECT CT nuclear medicine camera, MRI and laboratory analyzers, along with updates on renovations to the Medical Device Reprocessing Department and plans for a new operating suite.
Foundation CEO Rhoda Cunningham said the event offered donors an opportunity to see how their contributions are improving care at the hospital.
NHH President and CEO Susan Walsh credited donors and hospital staff for helping complete the projects on time and on budget, saying community support is essential to expanding services and keeping patient care close to home.
Cunningham closed the event by thanking donors for helping provide health-care professionals with the equipment, technology and facilities needed to deliver care.
