Ontario’s minimum wage will increase by 35 cents to $17.95 an hour on Oct. 1.
The provincial government says the change will benefit more than 700,000 workers and is tied to the Consumer Price Index.
A full-time worker earning the general minimum wage can expect to make about $728 more annually.
Ontario’s new rate remains below the federal minimum wage of $18.15.
