Northumberland OPP have laid several charges following a series of unrelated incidents across the region, including dangerous driving, impaired driving and property damage.
Police say officers received several complaints Aug. 8 about a vehicle being driven dangerously around Campbellford. The vehicle was also linked to property damage, verbal confrontations and a collision before police made an arrest later that afternoon. A 49-year-old Campbellford man faces several charges, including dangerous operation and flight from police.
In another case, a 64-year-old Trent Hills resident was charged with mischief under $5,000 after police investigated damage to a parked vehicle on Queen Street West.
OPP also reported several impaired driving investigations.
Those included incidents in Cramahe, Port Hope and Alnwick/Haldimand. In one case, police say a driver provided breath samples registering nearly three times the legal limit. Two children who were with the driver were placed with a family member.
Police say impaired drivers received 90-day licence suspensions and seven-day vehicle impoundments.
None of the charges have been proven in court.
