North Trent Street in Frankford will be closed to through traffic between Adelaide Street and Huffman Road beginning Wednesday, August 12th.
The closure is expected to remain in place until October as construction continues on the installation of a second sanitary forcemain, an updated gravity sewer and the completion of road reconstruction.
Updated detour routes will be posted throughout the closure.
Northbound traffic will be directed west onto County Road 5, north on Pitchers Road and east on Huffman Road.
Southbound traffic will travel west onto Huffman Road, south on Pitchers Road and east onto County Road 5.
Access will be maintained at the North Trent Street construction area for emergency vehicles and local traffic only.
The project began in June and the City says work is progressing as scheduled, with completion expected in late fall 2026.
