The Town of Cobourg has released its schedule of municipal building hours and closures for the Civic Holiday weekend.
Municipal offices, including Victoria Hall, the Cobourg Community Centre, the Cobourg Public Library, the Public Works Building and Venture13, will be closed on Monday, August 3.
The Cobourg Community Centre will remain open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, while the Cobourg Public Library will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Victoria Hall and the Art Gallery of Northumberland will be open from noon until 4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
Cobourg Transit will continue operating on its regular schedule throughout the holiday weekend.
The municipality is also highlighting several events taking place over the next few weeks.
The annual Sidewalk Sale returns to downtown Cobourg from July 30 through August 1 and will feature local vendors, live entertainment, extended patios and activities for children.
Movies Under the Stars continues this summer with screenings at Victoria Park and Victoria Beach, while the Cobourg Farmers’ Market returns to Rotary Harbourfront Park on August 1.
The Cobourg Yacht Club is hosting the North American 8 Metre Sailing Championship from July 30 through August 2, with races visible from the marina boardwalk.
Additional events on the schedule include James Cockburn Day at the Cobourg and Area Museum, weekly performances by the Concert Band of Cobourg, the Cobourg Sandcastle Festival, Northumberland Flower Fest and the Northumberland Ribfest and Music Festival.
The Town of Cobourg is encouraging residents and visitors to enjoy the holiday weekend safely.
