Cobourg Police are investigating two residential break and enters reported on the same street Friday and are asking residents to check security camera footage for possible clues.
Police say the first incident was reported at about 5:30 p.m. on July 24 after a homeowner returned to a residence on Hornbeck Street and discovered signs of a break-in. Jewelry and other valuables were reported stolen.
A second break and enter was reported around 8 p.m. at another home on the same street. Homeowners returned to find evidence of a break-in, with a quantity of jewelry reported missing.
Investigators will be canvassing the neighbourhood and are asking residents to review any surveillance, doorbell camera or dash camera footage from July 24 that may assist the investigation.
