The Town of Cobourg is expecting a large turnout for its Summer Council meeting on Wednesday, with several major planning and recreation items on the agenda.
The meeting begins at 1 p.m. in Council Chambers at Victoria Hall and can also be viewed live online through the Town’s council calendar.
Among the items set for separate discussion are the Parks and Recreation Master Plan, an update on the proposed YMCA recreation facility, and several official plan and zoning bylaw amendment applications, including proposals for Kerr Street West, Second Street and George Street.
Council will also hear three public delegations, consider recommendations from the Accessibility Advisory Committee and the Parks and Recreation Master Plan Task Force, and review 12 consent agenda items.
Because of the expected turnout, additional seating will be available in the Victoria Hall courtroom, where attendees can watch the meeting by livestream. Priority seating in Council Chambers will be reserved for registered speakers.
Residents who wish to address council can register to speak either in person or virtually through the Town’s Legislative Services Division.
