Northumberland OPP are investigating a fatal single-vehicle ATV rollover on an off-road trail in the Municipality of Trent Hills.
Police say officers were called Wednesday, April 22 at approximately 4:15 p.m. after receiving a report of a rollover involving an all terrain vehicle.
A 14-year-old male from Trent Hills was transported to Campbellford Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The collision happened on a trail between Burnbrae Road East and Loucks Road near Campbellford.
The trail was closed in both directions for several hours while Northumberland OPP conducted the on-site investigation.
Police say the investigation is being supported by the OPP Technical Collision Investigation and Reconstruction teams.
Officers have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the crash.
