Cobourg police say four people are facing charges after officers executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in the area of King Street and Division Street.
Police say the warrant was carried out April 21 as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the Town of Cobourg.
The operation involved members of the Cobourg Police Service and Port Hope Police Service Criminal Investigation Bureaus, along with Cobourg police uniform patrol officers, the Belleville Police Service Emergency Response Unit, and the Belleville Police Service K9 Unit.
Investigators say officers seized 170 grams of fentanyl, 60 grams of cocaine, and 20 grams of methamphetamine, along with multiple cellphones, weigh scales, and packaging materials.
Police estimate the street value of the drugs at approximately $31,000, noting the fentanyl alone represents roughly 1,700 potentially fatal doses.
Four individuals were arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine.
Police say two of the accused also face additional charges of possession of a Schedule One substance, while two others were also charged with failing to comply with probation.
Cobourg police say the investigation remains part of ongoing efforts to address drug trafficking and improve community safety.
