Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation is celebrating a $25,000 donation from Nuclear Laboratory Partners of Canada Inc., supporting healthcare services in west Northumberland.
The contribution comes from the parent company of Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, which has a long-standing presence in the region through work such as the Port Hope Area Initiative.
Foundation officials say the funding will go toward medical equipment used in patient care at Northumberland Hills Hospital.
They note that community support plays a critical role in maintaining and upgrading hospital equipment, with many essential tools funded through donations.
The organization says partnerships with corporate donors help ensure patients in Northumberland County continue to have access to high-quality care close to home.
The donation also reflects the company’s stated focus on community investment in areas where it operates.
Hospital officials say contributions like this are increasingly important as healthcare systems face growing demand and evolving needs. Equipment upgrades and replacements are a key part of ensuring services remain current and effective for patients.
The foundation continues to rely on a combination of individual, community, and corporate support to meet its fundraising goals and maintain care standards.
More information about ongoing fundraising efforts and hospital needs is available through the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation website.
