Northumberland OPP is calling on the public to help identify individuals involved in an alleged break-and-enter in the Township of Hamilton.
Back on March 31, 2026, at about 1:40 a.m., OPP said officers responded to a report of a break-and-enter at a service station on County Road 45 in Baltimore.
Upon arrival, police said they noted signs of entry and disturbance inside the premises.
“Investigators have determined that three suspects entered the building and stole a large quantity of cigarettes,” said police.
The individuals allegedly fled the scene in a black pickup truck travelling south on County Road 45.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are now calling on anyone with information, including video footage or anyone who can identify the individuals involved, to reach out to the Cobourg OPP Detachment at 905-372-5421 or OPP’s non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122.
Police also provided a reference occurrence number of E260420423.
Alternatively, investigators are reminding citizens that Crime Stoppers is an anonymous option. Tips can be submitted online or by calling 1-800-222-8477.
Crime Stoppers doesn’t subscribe to call display and tipsters remain anonymous and do not have to testify in court. Information can lead to a reward of up to $2,000.
Port Hope and Cobourg police have also issued calls for help with similar investigations in recent days.
