Community Care Northumberland has launched its Annual Easter Cookie Fundraiser, inviting residents and businesses across Northumberland County to support its Meals on Wheels program while enjoying festive seasonal treats.
The fundraiser runs until March 27 and features Easter themed cookies crafted by Roda’s Kitchen. Supporters can choose from three options: $20 for five decorated shortbread cookies, $25 for five gluten free Easter themed cookies, or $100 for 26 shortbread cookies. The 26 cookie box is available only in regular shortbread.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will support Community Care’s Meals on Wheels program, which provides nutritious and affordable meals to seniors, adults with disabilities, and individuals recovering from illness or surgery.
CEO Jordan Prosper says the fundraiser highlights how the community comes together to support one another, noting that Meals on Wheels offers not only nourishment but also connection, dignity, and independence.
Orders must be placed online at www.commcare.ca.
All cookie orders will be available for pickup on April 1 and 2 between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at Community Care locations in Campbellford at 174 Oliver Road, Cobourg at 1158 Division Street, and Brighton at 46 Prince Edward Street.
For additional information, residents can contact Community Care Northumberland by phone or email.
