Family Day will shine a spotlight on courage, care and community as Five Counties Children’s Centre partners with the Peterborough Petes for the annual Next Gen Game on February 16.
The event welcomes children, families, volunteers and supporters to the arena for a matinee matchup, while raising money for treatment services that help kids across Northumberland County and the surrounding region.
Scott Pepin, CEO of Five Counties, says the day has become a favourite for everyone involved.
Beyond the excitement in the stands, Pepin says the game is rooted in purpose.
Several young clients will also take on unforgettable roles behind the scenes.
Families are encouraged to come early to make the most of the day.
“There’s plenty in store,” says Pepin “including a free family skate before the game for ticket holders. Family-friendly activities also start one hour before the 2 o’clock puck drop.”
Tickets are available through Five Counties, with proceeds helping ensure children receive speech, occupational and physiotherapy services when they need them most.
