A 38 year old Cobourg man is facing charges following an unwanted person call at a local business.
Cobourg Police say officers responded Tuesday, February 3, at approximately 6:30 p.m. to a report of an unwanted individual inside the lobby of a business near the intersection of King Street West and George Street.
Police say officers located the individual inside the building and, during their investigation, found the man in possession of suspected fentanyl.
As a result, the man was arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule I substance, fentanyl, as well as failing to comply with a probation order. Police say the accused was bound by probation conditions at the time of the incident.
The man was released from custody on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
