Several 4-H clubs in Northumberland County and surrounding communities are receiving new funding aimed at supporting youth development, leadership, and hands on learning.
FCC and 4-H Canada have announced the recipients of the 2025 FCC 4-H Club Fund, with 57 clubs across Ontario receiving grants of up to 500 dollars. The funding helps offset program costs, support club activities, and enhance learning opportunities for young people involved in 4-H.
In Northumberland County, recipients include the Northumberland 4-H Association, the Campbellford 4-H Gardening Club, and the Campbellford 4-H Lifeskills Club. The Warkworth 4-H Beef Club is also among this year’s recipients.
Nearby communities are also benefiting, including a Scrapbooking and Bake Club in Picton and the Prince Edward 4-H Farm Machinery Club in Bloomfield.
4-H Canada says the FCC 4-H Club Fund helps volunteers create engaging, safe, and inclusive environments where young people can build confidence, leadership skills, and strong connections to agriculture and their communities.
FCC says supporting youth at the community level is essential to building a sustainable future for Canadian agriculture, with the fund helping clubs deliver practical, hands on learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom.
The FCC 4-H Club Fund has supported clubs across the province, covering a wide range of projects including livestock, gardening, lifeskills, food preparation, and creative programs.
Applications for the next round of FCC 4-H Club Fund funding are expected to open in the summer of 2026.
