Port Hope Police say they are investigating several overnight thefts reported in the area of Deblaquire Street North and Ward Street.
Police say the incidents occurred during the early morning hours of January 19, with investigators focusing on a time window between approximately 2:30 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. Officers are asking residents in the neighbourhood to check their properties for any missing items and report anything unusual.
Investigators are also asking residents to review home security systems, doorbell cameras, or other video surveillance that may have captured activity during that time. Police say video footage, even if it does not clearly show a suspect, can help establish timelines and identify patterns.
Anyone with information or relevant video is asked to contact the Port Hope Police Service at 905-885-8123, extension 1. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
Police thank residents for their cooperation and say community involvement is an important part of addressing property crime. Residents are also encouraged to take preventative steps, including locking vehicles, removing valuables from sight, and ensuring outdoor property is secured overnight.
