The Cobourg Police Service says its front counter at 107 King Street West will be closed on Friday, December 19, to allow for mandatory staff training.
Police say the closure applies only to the front counter and will not affect emergency response. Officers and emergency services will continue operating as normal throughout the day.
During the closure, residents are encouraged to use the Cobourg Police Service website to access several services online. These include criminal record check applications, freedom of information requests, motor vehicle collision report requests, bike registration, and online reporting for non-emergency crimes.
Police say non-emergency incidents can also be reported by calling the non-emergency line at 905-372-6821 and selecting extension two. Online reporting options remain available as well.
Cobourg Police remind the public that anyone experiencing an emergency should call 9-1-1.
The police service says the front counter is expected to reopen following the completion of training and thanks the public for their understanding.
