Downtown Port Hope is inviting residents and visitors to enjoy free horse-drawn wagon rides as part of the holiday celebrations.
Rides will run for two more Saturdays: on December 13 and December 20, operating from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Passengers can board the wagon on the north side of Walton Street in front of Queenies Bake Shop, where rides depart on a continuous 15-minute loop through the downtown.
The municipality notes that there are a few steps required to board the wagon, and riders should dress in layers to stay warm, as winter weather can be unpredictable. The wagon is covered but warm clothing is recommended.
This seasonal tradition is supported by Enbridge, which sponsors the holiday rides.
Wagon rides are free, open to all ages, and available on a first-come, first-served basis, offering a festive way to explore downtown Port Hope and enjoy the holiday season.
