The CPKC Holiday Train is making a much-anticipated stop in Cobourg this holiday season, bringing festive fun and a spirit of giving to the community on Saturday, November 29 at 12:05 p.m.
The free family event takes place at the Columbus Community Centre (232 Spencer Street East) and features live performances by country music stars Jade Eagleson and Teigen Gayse from the train’s dazzling, light-covered stage. Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item or monetary donation in support of the Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank.
“Having the CPKC Holiday Train stop in Cobourg this year is truly special,” said Mayor Lucas Cleveland. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate the magic of the season – and knowing it all supports our local food bank makes it even more meaningful.”
Now in its 27th year, the CPKC Holiday Train continues its journey across Canada and the United States, helping raise awareness and support for those facing food insecurity. Since 1999, it has raised more than $26 million and collected approximately 5.4 million pounds of food for community food banks.
Parking will be available on-site at the Columbus Community Centre.
