Port Hope police say a woman has been charged following a break and enter at a downtown business earlier this month.
Police say officers were called to the scene on October 15 after a report that a laptop and cellphone had been stolen. Through investigation and a review of surveillance footage, police say they were able to identify a suspect believed to be responsible for the theft.
On October 30, officers located and arrested a 38-year-old Port Hope woman. She has been charged with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence. The accused was transported to the Port Hope Police Service and later released on an undertaking with conditions.
Anyone with information about this or other crimes is asked to contact Port Hope Police at 905-885-8123 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS.
