Drivers in Cobourg are being advised to expect overnight traffic delays this week as the Town continues work on the King Street West culvert project.
Intermittent traffic stoppages will take place overnight Wednesday, October 29, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday, about 0.6 kilometres west of Burnham Street. If a second night is needed, the same schedule will apply Thursday night into Friday morning.
A single lane will remain open throughout the work, with flaggers directing traffic as required. Motorists are asked to plan ahead and allow for longer wait times while crews complete the overnight construction.
The Town of Cobourg says emergency access and electrical service to nearby homes will be maintained during the work.
Town officials thank residents and visitors for their patience, noting that the overnight schedule was chosen to minimize disruption to daytime traffic along one of Cobourg’s main routes.
