Cobourg police say a man was arrested after hospital staff were threatened at Northumberland Hills Hospital early Tuesday morning.
Around 3 a.m. on October 28, officers responded after hospital security reported a man had made threats toward a staff member. Police say no one was injured.
Following an investigation, a Cobourg man was arrested and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, assault with a weapon, intimidation of a health professional, and failing to comply with a release order.
The accused was held for a show cause hearing.
Police are reminding the public that violence or intimidation toward health care workers will not be tolerated.
