Cobourg police are investigating the theft of a U-Haul trailer from a Buchanan Street business early Thursday morning.
Police say that around 6:35 a.m. on October 9, surveillance footage captured a dark-coloured SUV with three occupants entering the property, attaching the trailer, and driving away northbound on Division Street. The trailer is described as a 2006, six-by-twelve-foot white U-Haul cargo trailer featuring orange U-Haul decals and a Kansas, USA licence plate number US2461.
The investigation remains ongoing as officers continue efforts to identify those responsible. Cobourg Police are encouraging anyone with information or video from the area to come forward.
“Even the smallest detail could help advance this case,” police said in a release.
