
Northumberland OPP is calling on the public for help with a theft investigation.
The probe dates back to July 7, 2025, after police said a toolset valued at $60 was allegedly stolen from a commercial premises on Grand Road in the Municipality of Trent Hills.
Police were told the man left the store without paying for the item at about 2:25 p.m. July 7.
OPP said their investigation is ongoing, and police are hoping the public may be able to help identify the suspect in connection to the incident.
Anyone who is aware of the identity of the individual or who has further information relating to the investigation is asked to contact investigators at the Campbellford OPP Detachment at 705-653-3300 or the non-emergency OPP line at 1-888-310-1122. Police also provided a reference number of E250894934.
Crime Stoppers is also an anonymous option by calling 1-800-222-8477 or submitting tips online. Tips through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000, and people do not have to testify in court.
