
The Cobourg Police Service (CPS) is investigating two thefts of lottery tickets from gas stations on Division Street.
On September 4, 2025, a man stole approximately 124 lottery tickets from a gas station after distracting an employee. A similar theft occurred at another Division Street location, where three tickets were taken. Police say the suspect was seen arriving and leaving the area in a navy-blue Dodge Caravan.
Investigators are working to identify the suspect and determine whether the incidents are connected to similar thefts in other jurisdictions.
CPS is asking anyone with information to call the police at 905-372-6821 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS or visiting stopcrimehere.ca. Tips received through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward.
