Cobourg Police say a 36-year-old woman is facing several charges after being arrested on an outstanding warrant.
According to police, at approximately 6:40 p.m. on Monday, September 1, 2025, uniformed officers with the Safer Streets Cobourg initiative were on patrol near King Street East and Green Street when they recognized a woman wanted on a warrant.
The woman was arrested without incident. Police say that following a search prior to arrest, officers located various controlled substances on her.
As a result, the 36-year-old Cobourg woman has been charged with failing to attend court while on a release order and three counts of possession of a Schedule I substance. Police say the substances seized included methamphetamine, fentanyl, and morphine.
The accused was held in custody pending a Show Cause Hearing.
