Cobourg Police Service is investigating a robbery that occurred on the night of September 3, 2025. Officers were called just before midnight to the area of Orange Street and Spring Street after a victim reported being assaulted by a group of individuals and having personal property stolen. Among the items taken was an electric scooter.
The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the incident. Police have not released any suspect descriptions as the investigation is ongoing.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area around 11:40 p.m. or who has dashcam or security footage to come forward. Information can be provided directly to the Cobourg Police Service at 905-372-6821.
Anonymous tips can also be left with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or online at stopcrimehere.ca. Tips submitted through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward.
Police say public assistance is often crucial in solving cases like this and are encouraging residents to review any video footage from the time and location of the robbery.
