Cobourg Police Service has charged a 29-year-old local resident in connection with an ongoing investigation into mischief incidents downtown.
Police say that between March and August 2025, several vehicles were damaged at a parking lot in the downtown core. Following an investigation, officers arrested the man on August 31 without incident.
As a result, the 29-year-old Cobourg man has been charged with uttering threats to damage property and six counts of mischief under $5,000.
The accused has been released on an undertaking with conditions, including a requirement not to attend the property where the alleged offences occurred.
