The Cobourg Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance after a reported break and enter in the west end of town earlier this week.
Police say the incident happened on Monday, August 25, between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., at a residence in the area of Hayward Street and Joseph Gale Street. Officers responded to a report of a break and enter where both currency and personal belongings were stolen.
Investigators are seeking any information or security camera footage that may help identify those responsible. Police are also encouraging residents with dashcams or home surveillance systems to review their recordings from the area around the time of the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cobourg Police Service at 905-372-6821. Anonymous tips can be made to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS or by visiting stopcrimehere.ca. Tips submitted through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward.
