An investigation continues in the Division and Swayne street area, that resulted in an increased police presence earlier today, according to the Cobourg Police Service.
In a brief notice issued Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025, the service said police were on scene in the area for an investigation, but that there is no risk to public safety at this time.
Police have now cleared the scene and their investigation is ongoing.
An update will be provided when the investigation is complete, said police, who provided no further details, including any regarding the type of investigation underway.
