The Town of Cobourg has introduced a new online feature called Power Pages, designed to improve public access to council materials and strengthen community engagement.
Now available on the town’s website, Power Pages provides residents with a one-stop location to search through council agendas, minutes, and municipal bylaws. The platform also includes a frequently referenced bylaws section, making it easier to find commonly requested information by subject.
Links to the new feature can be found on several key pages, including the Bylaw page, Mayor and Council page, and Council Calendar.
The launch is part of an ongoing initiative by Cobourg council to enhance transparency and encourage public participation. Other recent steps have included open office hours, governance policy reviews, and new opportunities for residents to speak to items on the agenda or raise concerns.
For those wishing to address council, in-person speaking requests can be made on the day of the meeting, while virtual speakers must submit a form by noon the business day prior. Written correspondence can also be emailed to the Clerk’s Division ahead of time.
Council meetings are livestreamed through the Town’s eSCRIBE portal, with recordings available for later viewing.
Residents are encouraged to contact the Clerk’s Division with questions or to learn more about participating in the local decision-making process.
