This is a drop-in program and is intednded for families with children over the age of one and under the age of 4.

Comic Shift workshop with Ted Staunton

In this workshop Ted Staunton will introduce his new novel Comic Shift, about 2 kids trying to create comics who meet someone with a superpower they’re trying to lose.
Participants will learn the basics to comics, and tips on how to start creating their own comic.
Each participant will receive a copy of Comic Shift to take home with them.
This workshop is designed for 9-12 year olds

Scientists in-Situ Presents: Investigate It! – Cobourg Library
Wednesday, July 23rd – 6:00 p.m.
Become a forensic scientist and investigate this whodunit by examining clues left at the scene! Learn how to interpret evidence by exploring fabric samples and running a chemical analysis on a mystery solution. Take your own fingerprints and compare them to those left behind. Use chromatography to analyze the ink used in a mysterious note. Will you identify the culprit?
Program provided in partnership with Kawartha Credit Union.
Ages 6 to 12 years. Registration required.

Pop-Up Music at the Wesleyville Schoolhouse — Wednesday evenings in June and July Rediscover the simple joy of summer evenings spent outdoors with friends, enjoying live music in the open air. Bring a lawn chair and settle in front of the schoolhouse for an evening of music from a variety of genres — perfect for singing along, tapping your feet, or catching up with neighbours! These free, family-friendly concerts are open to all: come by for a song or stay for the whole evening! Bring your own chair, bug spray, and a friend. Please dress according to the weather — the event will move indoors in case of rain. The concerts are free, but donations in support of the village are welcome.
