Non-serious injuries are being reported after a collision involving a train and pick-up truck on Pentecostal Road in Hamilton Township earlier this afternoon.
Emergency crews responded to the call just east of Cobourg after 3 p.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025. The tracks were closed until just before 4:20 p.m.
Northumberland OPP says the driver of the pick-up truck – a 74-year-old man from Westbrook, Ont. – has been charged with disobey railway crossing signal – proceed unsafely.
This charge has not been proven in court.
