Canadians across the country and around the world show their pride in their history, culture and achievements on July 1. The Canada Day Parade in Cobourg has been a tradition in our beautiful Town for many years, bringing our entire community together, for residents and visitors to enjoy and share our special bond of living in one of the greatest countries in the world. On July 1st 2025 at 11 AM get a good spot along King Street and follow the parade to Victoria Park. Represent the community and country by wearing your red and white and, even better, register to participate in the parade. We are looking forward to celebrating with you.

Port Hope Canada Day Parade

The Port Hope Canada Day parade will take place on Tuesday July 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
The Parade has been rerouted slightly, to account for the construction taking place in the downtown. The 2025 parade route will begin at the traditional start location, the intersection of Ridout Street and Bramley, travel down Walton Street, turn south onto Pine Street, east on Augusta Street and end in the Town Hall parking lot.
Road closures will be in effect (along the parade route) starting at 10:30 a.m. Roads will be opened directly following the parade at approximately 12:30 p.m.. Please do not park at bagged meters or along the route. The Town Hall parking lot will be closed off beginning at 6:00am, and will reopen following the parade.
Spectator considerations
Review the route map to find viewing locations and plan your approach. All Spectators are asked to please be mindful and respectful of other spectators and parade participants along the route and to please stay off the road to keep everyone safe.
Please note that NO parking will be permitted on Ridout, Walton, Pine & Augusta Streets, prior to and during the parade (10:30am -12:00pm). Please consider carpooling or walking to attend the event.

Canada Day Fireworks

Bring your family and friends to this free event and feel the excitement and energy of Canada Day celebrations in Cobourg! As part of the Cobourg Waterfront Festival and Canada Day activities there will be fireworks over the Cobourg harbour on July 1st at 10 p.m. Head to Cobourg Beach, bring a blanket or lawn chair and find a great spot to watch them from the beach or shoreline. See the sky light up over the Cobourg Harbour with the breathtaking view that will end Cobourgs Canada Day Celebration on a high note.
