Fleming College is expanding its in-person Continuing Education language courses in January, offering new opportunities to learn French, Spanish, Italian, and American Sign Language (ASL) at its Frost Campus in Lindsay and Sutherland Campus in Peterborough.
Students can enroll in Conversational French (Levels 1 and 2, with Level 3 coming in spring), Conversational Spanish (Beginner and Intermediate), and Conversational Italian (Levels 1 and 2). ASL Level 1 – Part A will also be available, with Part B launching in spring.
Taught by native-speaking faculty, these courses emphasize conversational skills and cultural immersion. Classes are held weekday evenings, accommodating working professionals.
Graduates of both parts of the ASL course will achieve Level 1 proficiency as recognized by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).
