
Cobourg’s Canada Day celebrations promise something for everyone
The Town of Cobourg will celebrate Canada Day on July 1st, starting with a parade at 11 a.m. along King Street. Following the parade, the festivities continue at Victoria Park with opening ceremonies at 12:30 p.m., featuring the Town Council, The Concert Band of Cobourg, and Classic Rock 107.9’s York Bell-Smith.
From 1 p.m. to 9:45 p.m., you can enjoy a diverse lineup of live music at the Bandshell, including performances by The SweetGrass Band and Vinyl Groovz. Children’s activities will be hosted by Home Depot Cobourg.
The day culminates with a spectacular fireworks show over the harbour at 10 p.m. Admission is free for all!

Port Hope Canada Day celebrations will provide a mix of new and traditional events.
On July 1st, start your day with a pancake breakfast hosted by the Port Hope Lions Club, followed by the parade at 11 a.m., featuring a new route due to Walton Street Reconstruction.
Throughout the day, enjoy activities in Memorial Park, including a car show, yoga, and live entertainment. The day will conclude with fireworks scheduled for 10:15 p.m. at East Beach.

Brighton hosts a fun-filled Canada Day celebration
Start your day shopping at The Shed’s grand re-opening at King Edward Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy family-friendly activities, including face painting and bouncy castles.
Visit Proctor House Museum for artisan crafts and delicious strawberry shortcakes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Don’t miss opening ceremonies at 11 a.m., followed by live music by DownBeat and Dr. Delicious & the Fantastic Flavours.
Cap off the festivities with fireworks display at dusk in King Edward Park.
