As we come up on the Canada Day long weekend, many of us are excitedly making plans for some well-deserved relaxation and adventure.
We sat down with media relations officer Constable Kevin Martin of the Ontario Provincial Police, and he shared some valuable insights and reminders to ensure a safe and enjoyable long weekend for everyone.

He also says that staying safe in the water is also something that everyone should keep in mind, especially if they’re out on a watercraft.
Drivers in a hurry should think twice, says Constable Martin, as there have been an increase in drivers operating vehicles over 50km/h higher than the legal speed limit.
OPP will be out in full force throughout the weekend enforcing safe driving practices for everyone.
