Youth programming will be boosted in the near future.
The Bulger family have joined Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre to establish a $30,000 Legacy Endowment Fund to carry on their long-running family history with the organization.
The children of Adeline and Joseph Bulger, originally responsible for establishing the Adeline Bulger Children’s Fund spoke at the announcement. Dan Bulger said the family legacy was a key factor to the establishment.
As Cornerstone’s communication release explains, Endowment funds are important for not-for-profit organizations, as they’re a dependable source of income. The Endowment given by the Bulger siblings is being specifically requested to assist programming for youth. Dan Bulger says the choice came from the importance to his parents.
The Legacy Endowment fund is drawn directly from the Bulger estate and will continue to support Cornerstone through scraping the interest for the foreseeable future. Dan, on behalf of his family, says they’re happy the funds are in supportive hands.
